Asparagus season is here again

We love it when asparagus comes into season. To mark the start, we’ve created a range of new Specials that all feature asparagus. Our favourites: the Insalata di Asparago and our Pizza Asparago e Fragola.

Asparagus is one of Europe’s favourite vegetables, with regional varieties coming into season from April to June.  Whether white or green, or from a market or sourced straight from the farmer, fresh asparagus is delicious. It tastes delicious just fried in some olive oil, but if you fancy trying it a different way - we’ve come up with a few all-new Spring recipes. Like an Insalata di Asparagi or our Pizza Asparago e Fragola.

 

INSALATA DI ASPARAGO – A LIGHTER CHOICE FOR A BRIGHT EARLY SUMMERS DAY

Fried green asparagus with basil pesto marinated potatoes, fresh bell peppers, rucola, green beans, semi dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, topped off with our balsamic dressing and Grana Padano D.O.P.

 

PIZZA ASPARAGO E FRAGOLA – PERFECT FOR PIZZA FANS

To celebrate the start of the asparagus season, we’ve also created our Pizza Asparago e Fragola. It’s topped with creamy ricotta, créme-fraîche and green pepper with mozzarella and fresh green asparagus. After baking we add baby spinach, strawberries and Italian ham. A flavour explosion that our Vapiano fans are loving!
