The new Specials by Vapianisti have arrived
The autumn Specials at Vapiano are a little extra special, as the dishes and the drinks are the result of the creativity and commitment of our Vapianisti in the annual contest Vapiano Olympics.
Vapianisti from across the country have submitted their contributions to the competition and then during the spring each restaurant presented their recipes to a jury. Out of nearly two hundred recipes thirty were selected to progress to the grand finale. Out of the thirty finalists an international jury crowned 10 winning entries which will now be served in all Vapiano restaurants in Sweden from the 1st of September to the end of November.
- It feels great that something I have created is going to be on Vapiano's menu, it feels like you’ve made a small footmark. You feel appreciated and that your creativity contributes to the menu, says Jessica Lilja, who is one of the winners with her amazing Insalata Anguria e Fat - a fresh salad with watermelon, beans and feta cheese.

ANTIPASTI FORMAGGIO E CRUDO by Joakim Odeltorp, Vapiano Mall of Scandinavia
A light starter with chévre wrapped in thinly sliced prosciutto crudo, combined with a fresh fig and a hint of acacia honey.
INSALATA ANGURIA E FETA by Jessica Lilja, Vapiano Mall of Scandinavia
A fresh sallad on a base of leafy salads and baby spinach. Topped with read kidney beans, red onions, cooling watermelon, aromatic feta and a dash of balsamic vinegar. Served with a mint-yoghurt dressing.
ZUPPA CREMA DI FUNGHI by Melinda Ståhl, Vapiano Mall of Scandinavia
A rustic mushroom soup. Topped with a parsley cream.
PASTA POLLO E POMODORI SECCHI by Saga Grönkvist, Vapiano Gamla Stan
Marinated fillet of chicken with golden onions, flavourful semi-dried tomatoes and a hint of garlic in a sauce of broth and créme fraiche. Finished with some spianch.
PIZZA CHÈVRE CON MORA E BALSAMICO by Melinda Ståhl, Vapiano Mall of Scandinavia
A pizza on a base of olive oil, chévre and mozzarella. Dressed with fresh black berries, walnuts and rucola. Finished with a balsamic reduction.
PIZZA MASCARPONE E GRANELLO av Ahmed Elberi, Vapiano Gamla Stan
A flawless pizza with tomato sauce and mozzarella combined with mascarpone, speck and aromatic basil.
BROWNIE CIOCCOLATO ALLA MENTA by My Höltén, Vapiano Mall of Scandinavia
A lovely gooey brownie-cupcake with a mint truffle and a touch of sea salt.
